Vienna is one city committed to reducing its carbon footprint for the long term. It has already implemented several measures in line with its green campaign such as the use of electric buses and cars. This is in addition to its already existing biking lifestyle. 

First Porsche Resides in Austria

The Porsche is a very popular brand of sports car and is made in Germany. But did you know that the first ever Porsche now resides in Austria? 

Yes, the first Porsche car ever made has lived in Austria for 100 years. It is Austria's first car to be registered and is known as the P1 which refers to the car engineer's first design. Its official name, however, is the 1898 Egger-Lohner electric vehicle C.2 Phaeton. 

Vienna to Exhibit Russian Golden Eggs

An egg is simply an egg if it is plain and cooked but not when it's made of gold. Previous golden eggs from Russia will make their way to Vienna next month where they will  be displayed in an exhibition.

The Moscow Museums will showcase more than 160 objects at the Art History Museum in the Austrian capital. Called "The World of Faberge," the star of this exhibit are the four imperial Easter Eggs made of gold.

Skiing in Vienna

While most of the top ski resort in Austria are not in Vienna, the capital city has one at Semmering Zauberberg. Open since December, the place accommodates people with or without skiing experience not only during daytime but as well as nighttime.

Ski fans wanting to enjoy the snow in the best possible way can enjoy the slopes that have been well prepared for them. There are 14 kilometers of ski slopes available during the day and another 13 kilometers which can be used at night for serious and experienced skiers and snowboarders.

Supermarkets are keeping up with this trend. Vienna, in fact, has just opened its drive in supermarkets courtesy of Billa.
