One well known event in Vienna before the Christmas season sets in focuses on charity. Called the United Nations Women’s Guild (UNWG) International Festival Bazaar, this charity event will take place on November 28 at the Austria Center and is aimed at raising funds to help the needy children across the world.
This special bazaar offers a great opportunity for visitors to buy gifts of all types from the different parts of the globe. They can even sample different food and drinks from 80 countries.
Being an international event, the festival bazaar will let visitors travel the world in a single day. They will also get to meet the volunteers who are dedicated to support underprivileged children. It’s free to visit the venue.
Now on its 47th year, this event is considered the UN Women Guild’s largest fundraising activity of the year. And apart from international cuisine, food, drinks and gifts, entertainment will also be provided while crafts will be showcased. The funds collected during the bazaar will be used to provide assistance in various categories such as education, health, water and sanitation as well as special needs and shelter.
This year, Josefina Diaz Menendez is the bazaar chairwoman.
