As an international city, Vienna does not run out of very important events that gather people from all over the world. Whether it’s about classical music, sports or fashion, the Austrian capital hosts various activities each year.
In the world of fashion, Vienna has been hosting its Vienna Awards for Fashion and Lifestyle. This event was first organized by Marjan Firouz and is now on its 6th year.
This year, international stars were able to grace the event. Some of them are Italian designer Tomaso Trussardi, designer Valerie Campbell from Great Britain and supermodel Coco Rocha who is among the 50 most important models of Vogue magazine.
This Fashion and Lifestyle Awards is primarily aimed at showcasing the fashion professionals of Austria and their creations. Additionally, it hopes to promote the country’s fashion talents to the rest of the world.
Specific awards given each year are for the best accessory designer, make up artist of the year, fashion editor, photographer, model of the year and fashion designer of the year. This year, GON, Eva Poleschinski and Marina Hoermanseder were among the nominees for the best fashion designer.
Also, a theme is chosen each year normally related to Vienna and its history. The 2011 awards honoredthe Riesenrad landmark while the 2012 event was focused on St. Stephen’s Cathedral.
