Be Polite and Enjoy Cheaper Kebabs

Restaurants in Vienna are plenty the reason why each one needs to come up with perks to invite more customers. Take the case of this one kebab shop in the Austrian capital that found a way to make people more friendly.

For customers who are able to say please and thank you, the owner has decided to reward them with cheaper food. Duygu, the shop owner, took over the Stadion Kebab & Pizza shop in the 2nd district two years ago. But she was shocked to find out the rudeness of customers that came to her shop.

What the owner did was to create a new price list for her food offerings. The new list offers food served at the kebab shop at a cheaper price but this is only good for people who can say please and thank you. Those who can’t do it will have to pay a higher price. The more rude the customer, the higher the price he or she will have to pay.

So for example, a customer who says “kebab, please” can enjoy a price of 3.80 Euro for one kebab but anyone who only says “give me a kebab” will have to pay 4 Euro.

The owner’s strategy has paid off as she is now enjoying more friendly customers in her shop. So if you want to enjoy your favorite kebab without having to pay much, be sure to be in your best behavior when at the Stadion Kebab & Pizza shop.
