As if Vienna’s already existing festivals are not enough, a new event is taking place this year and it’s all about Food. The first Vienna Food Week will kick off beginning September 26 and will run until October 4.
For this particular event, the focus is on dining and enjoyment for locals and tourists alike. There will be food and drink tasting and other food-related events. Taking part are Viennese restaurateurs and food trucks which will be presenting their products at maket stalls.
The main event for this occasion will be the Vienna Food Festival in Marx Halle. A total of 70 booths will be in place.
Vienna can not be outdone when it comes to food and dining places. It is home to some of the Michelin star restaurants and offers a diverse food culture.
Tourists who are in the Austrian capital in time for this first Vienna Food Festival will be in for a great treat. This is the perfect time to savor genuine local Viennese cuisine in one place.
