Perfektastrasse Welcomes Camper Vans

Camper vans are always welcome in Vienna and many of these vehicles visit the city during the advent season. Did you know that Vienna accommodates an estimated 51,000 camping tourists each season?

The Austrian capital has a special place where mobile homes can stay for a few days while its occupants tour the city. If you and your partner or family are traveling to Vienna via camper van, you need to know that there’s a new site where you can stay the night. It’s the Perfektastrasse in Liesing, considered one of the biggest camper van sites in Europe.

The camp site that spans 14,000 square meters is quite different from the traditional camp site as it is complete with power points, facilities for disposing of waste, wifi, a CCTV and a walking area for those with dogs.

Perfektastrasse is open round the clock but only for those who will be staying for a few days. What’s  great about the place is that it is very accessible to the U6 line station and can accommodate the large sized mobile homes. Those who run out of food stocks while visiting should not worry as there’s a supermarket available in the area. In addition, there is also a restaurant, a hairdresser plus electronic and cycling shops nearby.

Pitches are allowed to be used by camper vans. Tents and caravans, however, are not allowed. The fee being charged here per night is 19 Euros.

Traveling by camper van is very cost effective and eco-friendly. You not only save money but you also get the opportunity to stop by places you like along the way without the time constraints normally evident when you join tour groups.
