When it comes to arts and cultural events, Vienna is not to be outdone. Each year, it holds various festivals that pay tribute to major players in the arts industry including the legends that have contributed to the city’s being recognized internationally.
For the first time this year, the viennacontemporary event will take place in the Austrian capital. To be held from September 24th to the 27th, this leading international art fair in Austria will gather collectors, artists, curators, gallery owners, art professionals and art lovers from around the globe. Marx Halle on Karl-Farkas-Gasse 19 in Vienna’s third district will be the venue of the event.
The event will showcase a great selection of the most intriguing contemporary art in the central and eastern parts of Europe. It will also feature the exquisite galleries in Austria and other European countries and promote upcoming local and international artists from both the East and West.
Apart from the extensive programs, Gold-guided tours will be provided to guests. They will involved young artists from Austria and even senior citizens to share and exchange views on contemporary art.
Behind this very first edition of viennacontemporary is artistic director Christina Steinbrecher-Pfandt and managing director Renger van den Heuvel. Both assure art enthusiasts of a quality program and premium service during the three-day event not only for visitors but also for exhibitors, collectors, VIP guests and members of the press.
