Vienna is once again preparing for its annual Vienna Fashion Week event. Scheduled on September 7 to 13 this year, the MQ Vienna Fashion Week gathers designers and exhibitors from all over the world in the Austrian capital.

Josephinum Medical Museum

Museums abound in Vienna and if you're interested in anatomy, there's one place worth visiting. The Josephinum Medical Museum features the second largest collection of wax anatomical models in the world and the world's largest collection of wax obstetric models. 

The wax collections in the museum are encased in their original rosewood and venetian glass displays that date back to the late 1700s. A total of 1,192 models of dismembered body parts and whole figures are being showcased there.

Tian Bistro

Tian Bistro is a vegetarian restaurant considered one of Vienna's best. Located at the back of the Kunsthaus Wien, the place features bright colors, lots of house plants and undulating floors. The yard also boasts of mosaics and more plants which promote a very relaxing ambiance. It is open until 7 p.m. only.

Owing to this cycling system in place, Vienna is in the world's top 20 list of bike-friendly cities. The Austrian capital is in 16th place in the Copenhagenize Index which noted the city's cycle tracks and modern facilities unmatched by other cities around the world.

Vienna has its own strange museum known as Narrenturm which translates to lunatics tower. Designed in 1783, the building was constructed to keep people with mental illness locked up in a central facility.
