Vintage car enthusiasts and collectors unite! On September 8th to 9th, the capital city of Austria lends some of its main thoroughfares and amazing venues to the “Vienna Classic Days.” It is an annual automotive event that attracts participants, exhibitors and visitors from all over the world.
For two days, Vienna becomes a virtual museum of cars and motorbikes dating back to over 100 years even. And this year, the event promises to be exciting with more than 200 vehicles that are going to take part during the special events. Jumpstarting the event on the first day will be a presentation of all the vehicles at the Vienna City Centre followed by the highly-anticipated Rallye di Vienna.
First event focuses on the sports cars which will blaze through the Vienna forest, followed by the vintage car parade. One special highlight of the tours will be special stops all around the city, giving those who will follow the “motorcade” an opportunity to also enjoy the city’s marvelous attractions. The celebrations even go on through the night with music and special performances. Those who are in the know about classic and vintage cars will have a field day when the cars are finally unveiled for exhibition at the City Hall.
Over 50 brands and types will be participating this year – there will be sports cars from the 1930s like the Citroen B11 and Peugeot 401D, luxury cars like the Mercedes 170V and the Chrysler Royal Coupe to name a few. The event is open to the public.
