Where to Taste Asian Cuisine in Vienna

When it comes to food, most of Vienna’s restaurants serves international cuisine. But there are also dining places in the city that offer only a specific country’s cuisine.

Asian cuisine has also made its way to these Viennese restaurants. Here are some Asian restaurants you may want to explore while in the Austrian capital.

Ra’mien – This place features a minimalist interior architecture with furnishings from an old Chinese restaurant. And the dishes are not to be outdone as they’re all great tasting and very affordable. Its noodles are home made as well so drop by soon to have a taste of their offerings. Thai dishes are offered here in the evening.

ShanghaiTan – Situated on Gumpendorfer Straße, this Chinese restaurant is part of the Ra’mien chain. Guests here can enjoy Chinese cuisine as well as dishes from other Asian countries such as Japan’s famous sushi. The ambiance here is very cozy owing to the shimmering lights (oriental red lamps) and candles plus the dark wood furniture.

Happy Buddha – By its name alone, one would know that this place serves oriental food specifically Chinese cuisine and it’s most well known for its dumplings. Great for casual dining, Happy Buddha does not only provide a happy atmosphere but as well as delicious food at affordable prices. 

Lucky Chinese – This is one of the oldest Chinese restaurants in Vienna. For more than 27 years of its existence, this dining place has been well known for its vegetarian menu and great dishes dishes for the regular customers. Other than Chinese cuisine, though, the restaurant has expanded its menu to include food from other Asian countries.
